NEWSLETTER – December 28th, 2007

OFFICIAL FILM-A-THON SELECTIONS & SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Happy Holidays everybody! We hope you had an excellent holiday of choice, and that you all have fabulous New Years. Fortunately, we can help you kick off 2008 with a bang! Join us on Saturday, January 5th for the very first 2008 PROJECT TWENTY1 Film-A-Thon

! One day only!

GET YOUR ALL-DAY VIP PASSES AND SINGLE SCREENING TICKETS NOW

It’s finally here! The 2008 PROJECT TWENTY1 Film-A-Thon features 21 of the coolest, weirdest, scariest, deepest and most ridiculous independent films you’ve ever seen! Check out our Official Selections page to see the list of films screening. Can’t decide which you want to see? Come to all of them! The all-day VIP passes are still available, but your best bet is to reserve one online rather than hoping there are still some waiting at the door for you.

Get your tickets HERE now! $21 gets you an all-day VIP pass to the PROJECT TWENTY1 Film-A-Thon: all 4 screenings, plus the Awards Ceremony following the final screening, and the Wrap Party at Vesuvio! Bring your friends, five pounds of snacks, and a gallon of your favorite beverage, and strap yourselves in for one of the most enjoyable times you’ll ever spend sitting on your butt!

These films are ALL unrated, BUT we can assure you that all four screenings will certainly be considered “Risque” at a minimum for violence, blood/gore, sex, and extreme political incorrectness and are NOT appropriate for children, people that are faint of heart or easily offended. You’ve been warned.

But wait! There’s more! (We had to say that.) After the screenings end, the fun continues: The Wrap Party, at the marvelous Vesuvio Restaurant at 8th and Fitzwater, home of the Best Sandwich in America (and a mere 5 minute cab ride from the theater), will go ’til the wee hours! The party, for P21 VIP’ers only, will include a ton of free buffet and appetizer-style food, and will also offer drink specials! Special thanks to everybody at Vesuvio for putting this together to help reward you for successfully completing the PROJECT TWENTY1 Film-A-Thon! Come hang out with the filmmakers, the festival producers, and our Special Guest Hosts, all awesome people, and drink your faces off* (*in moderation, of course). What’s that about hosts? We’re glad you asked! Read on!

JUDGE/HOSTS – LIVE AND IN PERSON

To you filmmakers out there wondering who it is judging your work, note that our 2008 Film-A-Thon Judges Page is now up! Our judges for the Film-A-Thon include some names you’ll probably recognize: a professional local film critic, a filmmaker, an animator, and an actor/producer fresh off his own show on the Discovery Channel. Go check out the Judges Page to see more on these individuals, if for no other reason than so you know who they are at the Wrap Party and have an easy icebreaker to boot! That’s right, some of our Judges will be present in person at the screenings and Wrap Party, to help Host the events and to meet all of YOU. So be sure you’re there, and bring all your friends to applaud for your film just in case there’s any doubt about its genius.

Which film will be crowned the Best Film of PROJECT TWENTY1 Film-A-Thon? Who will receive the awesome PROJECT TWENTY1 trophy and prize: a copy of ToonBoom Storyboard Pro?? Guess you’ll just have to show up and see for yourself! Can you stand the tension??? Stay tuned!!

Also, if you would like to invite your friends to this event (or scope out some of the cool people that are already coming), forward along our Facebook Event!

FAQ – TICKETS

So that everybody knows, tickets & passes ordered online will NOT be shipped to you. We’ve gotten a few questions about this, and thought we’d clarify. If you pre-order tickets through our website, your ticket(s) will be held in reserve in your name and you will be able to pick them up at the Box Office on January 5th.

WELCOME TO 2008!

That’s all we got for ya, folks! But man, do you think it’s enough? 6 hours of screenings? Parties? Free food? Famous judges hosting our events? I think you know where you need to be on January 5th, right? So hurry! Get your tickets now! We hope to see you all there, and thank you so much for all your support thus far in making or first ever Film-A-Thon a huge success!

Come one, come all, you will NOT be disappointed! Looking forward to seeing you there… and once again, Happy 2008!

As always, your friends,

If you for some strange reason DON’T want to see all 6 hours of films, but only, say, an hour and a half somewhere, non-VIP tickets will be available shortly for individual screenings at $10 a ticket.

DETAILS, DETAILS

We are solidifying our judges to go through the Official 21 films and determine a Winner, but stay tuned in the coming weeks to see who will be judging your films! With luck, some of them may even show up to the screenings and Wrap Party on January 5th. So hurry! Get your tickets now! And we will be in touch again before the holidays. We hope to see you all there, and thank you so much for all your support thus far in making or first ever Film-A-Thon already such a huge success!

The Project Twenty1 Producers also wish to thank our devoted volunteers, Tom Johnsen on web and Niki Woodall on PR, for their hard work and efforts helping us get this Film-A-Thon going! Tom has been the one behind this season’s newsletters and website updates, and Niki is the one responsible for what is sure to be our awesome Wrap Party, as well as a few other tricks she has up her sleeves. With staff like this, and filmmakers and supporters like all of you, our festival can be nothing but a glorious success.
